Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tipper. By creating a page or leaving a tip, you agree to them.

Last updated June 10, 2026.

1. What Tipper is

Tipper is a service that gives service workers a personal web page and QR code to receive tips. Customers scan the code and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card. Payments, payouts, and identity verification are handled by Stripe. Tipper is a software platform, not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter, and it is not a party to the tip itself.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Tipper. To receive payouts, you must complete Stripe's onboarding and provide accurate identity and banking information.

3. Fees

Creating a page is free, and you keep 100% of every tip you receive. The customer pays a service fee on top of the tip:

10% + $0.30, capped at $3

Ten percent of the tip plus $0.30, never more than $3 on a single tip. This fee is paid by the tipper, not deducted from you, and covers card-processing costs.

Standard payouts are made on a rolling schedule once your account is verified. Optional instant payouts to an eligible debit card carry a fee of 1.5% (minimum $0.50), charged by Stripe. We may change our fees with notice; changes apply to tips received after the change takes effect.

4. Payments and Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe. By onboarding to receive payouts, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. You are responsible for keeping your Stripe account in good standing. Stripe may hold, delay, or reverse funds in cases of suspected fraud, disputes, or chargebacks, and Tipper is not liable for those actions.

5. Taxes

Tips are income. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on tips you receive. Tipper does not withhold taxes and does not provide tax advice. Stripe may issue tax forms where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tipper to:

  • solicit or accept payment for any unlawful goods or services;
  • pressure, coerce, or mislead customers into tipping, or misrepresent who is receiving the tip;
  • collect payments that are not voluntary tips for service (for example, disguising fees, invoices, or sales as tips);
  • impersonate another person, or set up a page you are not authorized to operate;
  • violate any law, or Stripe's list of prohibited and restricted businesses.

7. Your content

You are responsible for the content on your page — your name, photo, and bio. Keep it accurate and lawful. You grant Tipper a limited license to display that content for the purpose of operating your page. We may remove content or suspend a page that violates these terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using Tipper and request deletion at any time by emailing willsahatdjian@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or where required by law or by Stripe. Pending payouts of legitimately received tips will still be settled to your connected account, subject to Stripe's processes.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Tipperis provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of Stripe or any tipper. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees we earned on the transactions giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above when we do, and continued use means you accept the update. Questions go to willsahatdjian@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
